BUSINESS SUPPORT EVENTS

• Ribbon cuttings for new and established businesses.
• Develop and maintain the chamber web page.
• Business referrals
• Publish and produce relocation guides
• Publish and produce Membership Directory/Community Profile/Annual Report
• Committees including Ambassadors, Military Affairs, Santa Fe Trail Festival

BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND CHAMBER INTERNAL AFFAIRS

• Monthly board meetings – 2nd Wednesday of the month.
• Set policy and oversee the affairs of the chamber
• Set annual budget
• Set personnel policy
• Chair fundraising events

COMMUNITY EVENTS AND PROMOTIONS

• Produce and sponsor the Santa Fe Trail Festival; June 11, 12 and 13.
• Produce the 4th of July Fireworks over Trinidad Lake State Park
• Christmas Home Lighting Contest in conjunction with the City of Trinidad.
• Participate and help coordinate Hometown Holiday events during November and December.
• Trinidaddio Bluesfest volunteer coordination
• Trinidad Round-up and Labor Day Parade
• TSJC Basketball Invitational

LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS

• Participate in Legislative Day Luncheon in Denver.
• Produce Meet the Candidates Forum – October.
• Attend City Council and County Commission Meetings.
• Attend Action 22 meetings.
• Welcoming reception for newly elected officials.

APPRECIATION EVENTS

• Trophies for 4-H Queen and Princess – Attend 4-H Award Ceremony.
• $200 Sponsor of Labor Day Parade Trophies.
• Arrange Labor Day Parade Review and Announce Labor Day Parade.
• March and/or have entry in Labor Day Parade.
• Entry in the Magical Lights on the Santa Fe Trail.
• Attend the Soil Conservation Picnic.
• Attend and host the Cattleman’s Banquet and award the Cattlemen of the Year Award-November.

CHAMBER WORK

• Provide information about businesses and the community through referrals, relocation and tourism packets, supply the Colorado Welcome Center brochure rack and Trinidad Web Page.
• Coordinate and produce community calendar
• Provide on-going press releases about the community, our events and people in the media.
• Provide & mail monthly chamber newsletter.
• Monthly programs with TSJC TV and KCRT Radio.
